At Carreta de Oro, every agave piña is cooked in a traditional brick oven for 24 hours. But the process doesn't end there. The agave is then allowed to rest for 12 hours and cool for another 12 hours before moving to the next stage.

Why does that matter?

Because great tequila isn't rushed.

This slow, deliberate process helps develop the smooth, rich character that makes Carreta de Oro a tequila meant for sipping, not shooting.

What started with around 40 farmers became the foundation of the distillery that produces Carreta de Oro today.

There are no shortcuts to that process. Time, patience, and the care of the people who tend these fields are what make the difference.

Long before Carreta de Oro became a tequila, families in the midlands of Jalisco were growing agave on this land.

Every bottle begins with patience, tradition, and the people who have dedicated their lives to the craft.

This is where our story begins.
